Families,

I am excited to let you know that, earlier today, the Province of Nova Scotia announced that all HRCE students in Grades 7 to 12 will receive a free Halifax Transit pass this school year.

It's important to know that students eligible for HRCE transportation are still able to ride the school bus.

What you need to know:

• Students in Grades 7 to 12 will receive their pass through their school when classes begin next week.
• Passes are valid on Halifax Transit buses and ferries from September 5, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
• If a pass is lost or damaged, extra passes will be available through HRCE’s Student Transportation team.
